Ten Great Hair Care Tips

If you look at the tabloids, you know that even the stars have bad hair days. It seems that when stylists are not in the picture, it is natural for a person to have a sense of humor. But you can do your part to stay afloat by following these great hair care tips.

1. Use a professional conditioner designed for your specific hair type. While you can dive a little into the shampoo, a good, professional conditioner is a must have. Look for products in salons designed for your hair type. Example: If you have color or perm, choose a cool dye for chemically dyed hair. Also avoid those in-one shampoos and conditioner combos.

2. Choose a cut that suits your face and body shape. The first mistake people make when choosing a new hairstyle is to choose a style that is based on popularity rather than how it will enhance their features. Always choose a new cut based on how it will enhance or detract from your facial features and makeup. If you have broad shoulders, choose a full body cut over the cut head that encloses the doo.

3. Don't forget your UV protection. Just as your skin is damaged by the wind and the sun, so is your hair. To counteract this, look for

finishing products such as mousses, gels, and UV rays.

4. Keep your schedule. Did you know that your hair will fall out faster than it will grow? You need to decide every 6 to 8 weeks, even if it is a micro trim. A good hairdresser makes them beautiful because they know what to leave on their head, not to take it off.

5. Leave chemicals to a specialist. There is a reason why beauticians need to go to school to learn how to manage chemicals and hair procedures. You can do irreparable damage with these products even if the package says its way is easy. And even if you do not have your hair cut, you could end up looking like a clown and paying the style stylist for big bucks to repair your damage. (Note: Many style designs charge twice as much color correction than they do in standard color processes)

6. Find the color of interest and body. Every cut needs a little color to make it really interesting. Whether your taste is subtle or stunning, you can add interest and volume to your tresses through the color process. Bright, bright, all color, gray coverage, to say the least, are all good for your look.

7. Perform weekly conditioning treatments. Even if your hair is extremely healthy, it is prone to wind, sun, cold and heat. During the summer months, your hair gets worse when it absorbs chlorine and other chemicals from your pool.

8. Get ionic Ceramic flat iron. Instead of frying your hair with a normal iron with a flat iron. Straighten your tresses, add lightness and add moisture with one of the ionic flat flaps. We personally use T3 metals in all of our work.

9. Choose your style products wisely. Avoid products that leave your hair structure. If you see a white gunk, that means your product is insoluble in water and may cover your hair shaft. The formation causes loosening, cracking and the ability to fold down not to mention white flakes.

10. Did you know that if you use a towel after washing your hair to dry your hair it causes split ends and adds dry electricity to your hair? Do not rub the towel back and forth on your hair, rub the towel on your hair as you would on crackers in your soup.

While all these tips will not make you look like you have hired a hairdresser, they will help you look your best every day. When it comes to hair care, remember to wear your hair every day. Now is it not worth the time, effort, and resources needed to maintain a positive outlook?
